A downloadable game demo for Windows

1946

8 months since the nuclear bombs dropped in London.

After centuries of war between the United Kingdom and the United States of America following the Revolutionary War, America launched its final desperate attempt to end it. Progression of entertainment technology had stalled, allowing for the rapid development of weapons and military-based technology. By 1945, unknown to the United Kingdom, the United States of America had perfected nuclear weapons, and that year, the decision was made to launch them, to end the seemingly endless war.

The Ravenmaster, the last Beefeater in the United Kingdom, is holed up in what remains of the Tower of London. Though most of London was flattened in the attack, the Tower of London, a symbol strength, remained standing strong. The Ravenmaster has a single task: keeping the last Raven at the Tower of London alive. Thus beast is believed to be the last factor keeping the Kingdom together. Should it die, the Kingdom will fall forever.

This demo is set within the larger game, the Kingdom. This is an open-world role-playing game, in which the Ravenmaster would be a non-player-character, discovered in the heart of the Tower of London amongst the chaos of waring factions fighting over the stronghold. The player would be tasked with a quest to find replacement parts for the Raven’s ventricular assistive device, which keeps its heart artificially beating.

The demo is intended to showcase the art of the game, as well as a few of the interactive elements.
